Advanced Search Filters
You can use one, all, or any combination of the following fields.
-
Candidate Name: Enter the full name of the candidate to search for a specific candidate.
For example, John Smith. Select Partial Match if you’re not sure of the name or spelling.
For example, if you enter Jon and select Partial Match, the search retrieves candidates named Jon, Jonathan, Jonty and so on.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Partial Match works only for the initial letters in a name. It doesn’t retrieve results if the letters are in the middle or at the end of a name. For example, partial match doesn’t retrieve Dujon in the above case. -
Email Address: Provide the complete email address of the candidate to search for.
For example: john@abc.com.
Note that the search doesn’t retrieve partial matches. If you enter just john in the email address, no results are displayed. -
Has The Words: Use this box to search for candidates based on their resume that includes their educational qualification, work experience, and so on.
For Example:
- To search for candidates who majored in Engineering, enter Engineering
- To search for candidates who have majored in Engineering from Stanford University, enter Engineering, Stanford University.
- To search for candidates who have majored in Engineering from Stanford University and have an MBA, enter Engineering, Stanford University, MBA.
-
Doesn’t Have: Use this field to eliminate certain terms when searching from a candidate’s resume.
For Example: To search for candidates who are Chefs, but not from Burger King, enter Chef in Has the Words, then in Doesn't Have enter Burger King. - City, State: Enter the city or state if known. The system suggests possible matches as you type the city name.
-
Radius: Select a radius from the drop-down list.
For example, if you’re looking for candidates close to your work location, then select an appropriate radius, say, 20 miles. - Date From/Date To: Select a date range. This is used to find candidates who have applied for the job during the selected period.
- Tags: If you’ve assigned any tags to candidates during hiring, you can use those for your search. When you click this box, available tags are displayed. Select a tag as required.
- Rating: Each candidate may be assigned a rating during hiring. Specify the rating to filter candidates based on the rating.
